Peterson started the Pipe of the Year tradition in 1997, where they would create a very special pipe each year which wasn’t in their regular catalog. Those pipes are always very high grade and made in limited quantities.

The year 2000 was very special though — instead of one pipe, they released a set of two pipes and a stand. Unfortunately, I don’t have the second 2000 POY, but this is the first one with the original stand.

Condition note: there is a scratch near the shank of the pipe which I decided to leave in so as not to lose too much material — it is in a discreet enough spot in my opinion. I also assume there was a thin metal plaque on the stand which is missing.

The pipes go through one final check before shipping, so if you notice any inconsistencies in the carnauba finish or smudges they will be taken care of before your pipe is shipped to you.
