In the last few decades, Peterson did quite a few releases of extremely high-grade, Supreme-level pipes. Some of those lines were made for specific markets like Germany or Italy, and they managed to stay under the radar of most casual collectors.

The Kapp Royal is one of those lines — this type of briar and grain is rarely seen even on the €1,000 gold-mounted Supremes… We have full 360-degree straight grain, a natural stain, and even some ring grain relief peeking out in a few spots.

Add a silver band and this stunning acrylic amber-like stem with a silver P inlay, and it is just the cherry on top!

Condition note: there is a slight but smooth unevenness on the inside of the rim. I am not sure if an intern did the stamps on the silver band, but they are in all kinds of weird and very questionable positions, in addition to being stamped way too lightly… It is a bit of a pity that something like this went unnoticed by QC.

The pipes go through one final check before shipping, so if you notice any inconsistencies in the carnauba finish or smudges they will be taken care of before your pipe is shipped to you.
