Dunhill Root Briar 6P (1975)

The tenon of this pipe was 5,8mm wide, so I took the liberty to convert it to fit regular 6mm filters.

This is one of the last pipes from the late German actor Horst Janson’s collection.

Some of the most attractive Dunhill shapes for me are from the P family (bent Rhodesians / Bulldogs), and the 6P is right at the top. The saddle stem just adds to the “sharp” optics, and it really suits the diamond shank features.

I also find it extremely comfortable to clench — compared to the regular P shape, the stem on the 6P models is quite thin, which I love.
