Even though I don’t personally understand it, there are enough pipe collectors who prefer to keep unsmoked pipes in their collections. Thanks to those collectors, we can still enjoy a brand-new, unsmoked 50-year-old pipe like this gorgeous rusticated Pete.

Over the last couple of months I’ve started to appreciate smaller, compact pipes more and more — and this one almost joined my own collection. But I know some of you will appreciate the NOS condition way more than I ever could.
