In the late Republic era, Peterson made some of the most interesting limited edition pipes, like the Chain & Cap Patent, Centenary, Sherlock Holmes series, Millennium, Mark Twain, and this gorgeous Commemorative Patent System Oom Paul.

The condition is absolutely pristine, since the pipe was probably smoked not more than once — maybe not even a full bowl. The briar on the inside of the chamber hasn’t even darkened yet… the original factory coating was still there with no cake, and only after I disinfected the chamber some of it came off. I am leaving the rest so you can see for yourself if you get the pipe.

Also, there isn’t a trace of residue in the System well.

The pipes go through one final check before shipping, so if you notice any inconsistencies in the carnauba finish or smudges they will be taken care of before your pipe is shipped to you.
