In the late Republic Era, Peterson produced some of their most interesting limited-edition pipes — the Chain & Cap Patent, Centenary, Sherlock Holmes Series, Millennium, Mark Twain, and this gorgeous Commemorative Patent System.

There were two pipes in this release — a bent Oom Paul and this straight army mount. Unlike the Oom Paul, Peterson thankfully decided to actually put a condenser on the straight one.

The pipes were released in 1990, marking the 100th anniversary of the System patent from 1890. Peterson even paid extra homage to the original patent by stamping the first patent number on the silver: “Patent No. 12393”.

The pipes go through one final check before shipping, so if you notice any inconsistencies in the carnauba finish or smudges they will be taken care of before your pipe is shipped to you.
