There are rare pipes — and then there are Hasso pipes. These legendary German pipes were made only for a very shortperiod of time, and it’s generally believed that no more than 1,000–1,200 Hasso pipes were ever produced. Finding one at all is difficult; finding one in this condition is something else entirely.

I’ve been able to date this example to roughly 1981–1983. Beyond that, I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story — the straight grain speaks for itself.
