I recently got into Italian pipes, and the pipe that did it for me was a lower-grade Viprati… I was stunned by how it looked, but most of all by how well it smoked!

Now, this is not a low-grade pipe — this is the very limited Pipe of the Year from 2012 (061/100). The shape, stain, and little details add up to what I can only describe as a piece of art.

It’s a real shame that L. Viprati passed away last year — we won’t get to see more of his stunning pipes.
