This time we have a rare shape rather than a rare finish or line.

I first saw the D4 shape a couple of months ago, and it very quickly became one of my favorite smokers. My favorite pipes I usually smoke on two different occasions — either in the evening, when I tend to go for a very long and engaging smoke, or while I am restoring pipes, where I usually pick my most comfortable pipes to clench.

My own smooth D4 is currently my go-to pipe for a restoration session.

The shape is just perfect for the job — it’s a compact brandy with an oval shank. The chamber is quite spacious for such a compact pipe, and the oval shank and flat stem let me clench it securely without having to put much pressure on the stem.

The pipes go through one final check before shipping, so if you notice any inconsistencies in the carnauba finish or smudges they will be taken care of before your pipe is shipped to you.
