The Caminetto brand was created in 1968 by Giuseppe Ascorti and Luigi Radice and has been a staple of Italian handmade pipes ever since. The most sought-after pieces are from the first period, which ended in 1979 when Luigi Radice left the company. One of the easiest ways to date a Caminetto is by looking at the stem logo, since it changed several times over the years.

Just like the previous one, this KS comes from that same early era, carrying the famous “super mustache” logo. This time, though, we have a gorgeous natural stain instead of the green finish — and it suits the shape beautifully.

I graded it as A4 because of two dents on the left side of the pipe: one on the shank and one on the bowl. Both are smooth and not very visible; I tried my best to show them clearly in the photos.
